Just installed Leopard, and tried to run MySQL, and it did not start at boot up like it normally does. After a little searching on the web found out that MySQL is Ok, it is montoring/startup PrefPane that is the problem.

So it is necessary to start MySQL by hand, to do that use the following line:

sudo /usr/local/mysql/bin/safe_mysqld

That will get MySQL running correctly.
